The President of AIDA Philippines and the founder of the Philippine Freediving Team, Martin is the top freediver in the Philippines and is a national record holder in four freediving disciplines: CWT, FIM, DYN, STA. Martin’s interest in freediving started in 2010 after seeing videos of people freediving with dolphins. Amazed at how easily freedivers could swim around and hold their breath underwater, Martin enrolled in a course in freediving in 2013 and was certified by both the AIDA and SSI. A professional underwater photographer and filmmaker, Martin has worked with both Filippino commercial directors and Hollywood professionals and he has been featured in Hawaii Skin Diver magazine, Redbull and leading local TV networks like GMA. Martin is also an instructor at Freedive Panglao in the Philippines.
